Commercial Licence Spain
Commercial Licence - Spain
The charter license is a prerequisite for commencing charter activities in Spain
Currently, the license holds validity across the entire Spanish territory, regardless of the region where it is issued. While most port authorities stipulate the yacht's presence for issuance, applications can be submitted in advance of the vessel's arrival.
For EU-flagged yachts, the yacht charter commercial license Spain is issued for a maximum duration of 1 year, provided that no major certificates of the yacht expire sooner. In contrast, for non-EU vessels, the charter license is initially issued for 3 months and can be renewed.
As Spain comprises autonomous regions, each with its own governing body, certain regions may necessitate additional documentation to comply with local regulations.
The charter license is also mandatory for charters originating in another country, cruising to Spain, and embarking/disembarking guests in a Spanish port.
